Day 1

Well, we had an exciting Day 1. Our destination was my brother, Ryan and his wife, Ashley’s house in Chesterfield, Va. We had a few technical issues to start, but quickly worked through them. We stopped in Smithfield, Va for lunch at a deli named, Smithfield Gourmet Bakery & Deli after four hours of riding. I have to say that this was a most enjoyable event. The people of Smithfield are awesome, and the food was great. We even got an interview from a reporter with the Smithfield Times. After this we continued on our journey with five more hours in the saddle, stoppping three hours in to this session to re-fill water bottles and stretch. The end result was 125 miles, approx: 8500 calories burned, avg speed of 17.2mph, and total time of 9 hours and 10 minutes. I am upset that I will not be continuing on with Dan, Justin, and Adam, but it will work out. Look out for our continued updates, and don’t forget why we’re doing this. Raising awareness for Operation Smile. Donate and help a child out. Thanks.
